SEEDY ORIGINS:

Justin Goldenstick (a moniker he picked up during his 10 year tenure with award winning* Sacramento-based cover band, RevolutionBeat: Tribute to the Beatles) has been playing music for over 30 years. His earliest days were spent blowing hot air into small orifices, going brass to mouth as it were (e.g the trumpet) until he realized that his passion was more rhythmic than that. So he tried his hand at the guitar, which some say he actually succeeded at learning (unverified). Mr. Goldenstick truly found his musical calling once he settled behind the kit and he never looked back… as a practical matter, that is. His back is usually to the wall.

Justin grew up in a small beach town in Southern California before moving to Chico, CA to pursue his college degree in some numbers or fiscal nonsense and other things of that nature. But more importantly than that, and only a smidge more important than meeting the love of his life (or they’re fairly equal… it’s a toss up really. Like neck and neck), Justin was able to continue living out his love of live music through the various bands that he has been a part of through the years, recording drum tracks for many projects- a highlight that included cutting a professionally recorded and produced album at the legendary Capital Records in Hollywood.

When not working (fiddling with finances or some such) or playing music, Mr. Goldenstick loves traveling with his wife to new places, having a beer with friends, the solitude of kayak fishing in the middle of a desolate lake, and playing with his dog, Nico.
