We are The Seedy Burners: a Sacramento-based cover band dedicated to good rock, good shows, and good entertainment for the entire family. Our passion for bringing positive energy, crowd engagement, and a welcoming environment to all is second only to our passion for sharing our enjoyment of the music we love with all around us. We specialize in the best hits of Grunge, Alt-Rock, Pop-Punk, Novelty, Pop (and even Hip-Hop) of the 90s and 00s.

Our band has been playing music together for several years, some of us for over a decade together- and it shows when you see us live. The Seedy Burner story started with bassist Chadface and percussionist Justin Goldenstick meeting on Craigslist… nearly 15 years ago. Since then, the duo have tried to find the right mix of musicianship, character, and heart in other band members to round out the line up. Starting with guitarist Nick Poppa (back before he was even anyone’s papa!) and then recently finding lead guitarist JE Escobedo (who got poached from an already working band!), The Seedy Burners finally found the sauce to really bring the thunder and do these 90s and 00s classics justice…. once again, all thanks to the magic of Craigslist!

Every one of us in the band grew up listening to some of the greatest bands of the era: Nirvana, Green Day, blink-182, Stone Temple Pilots, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Sublime… and so many more that not only helped shape us as musicians, but an entire generation of music lovers. These 90s hits may now be considered “classic rock” but the music is as timeless as our memories of that age- these songs still dominate rock radio airplay today as the demand has never waned for these tunes!

The Seedy Burners live experience is an intentional effort by our band to evoke the timeless experiences of our youth where we would listen to hard hitting rock and grunge, meticulously curating our playlists on to custom burnt CDs and sharing them with friends. The excitement of getting a new mix CD from a buddy or special someone was always full of surprises, the occasional ear worm (or even the random pop, novelty, or hip-hop track), so we work tirelessly to replicate that experience with all of our live set lists. And the most important part of listening to that custom mixtape? Belting out a sing-a-long with your favorite songs, full blast, no care of who is listening (or if you were any good!)- that is what The Seedy Burners live show is all about.
